My name is Marshall Mayne. I am from the small rural community of Searletown, PEI. I graduated from UPEI in 2017 with my Bachelor of Business Administration, and in 2018, I graduated from the Bachelor of Education program.

From day one, I loved the environment UPEI offers, from the small class sizes to knowing your professors by their first name. During my studies, I worked with the Athletics and Recreation department as the Marketing and Communications Assistant. I also spent two seasons as the Video Coach for the men’s and women’s hockey teams. After graduating from the BEd program, I taught at English and Social Studies at Mount Academy before moving back to UPEI as a first-year advisor and recruiter.

UPEI is dedicated to encourage and assist people to acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to reach their full potential. Please reach out if there is anything we can do to welcome you to the Panther family!

Jane DiCarlo
Acting Manager, Recruitment and Advisement

Hi everyone!

My name is Jane and I am from Fredericton, the capital city of New Brunswick, and I love UPEI! I moved here in 2012 to pursue a BSc in Foods and Nutrition. After graduating in 2016, I returned to complete a Bachelor of Education. I was always so excited to explore what UPEI had to offer. They have great courses, extracurriculars, fun activities, and provide an awesome environment to make life-long friends, connections, and memories. When I was a student I was involved with the Applied Human Science Society, I was a Campus Life Advisor, and I represented UPEI at three CIS Curling Championships! Since then I have worked as a high school teacher in PEI.

I am so excited to be back on campus, and especially in the role of a First Year Advisor and Recruiter. I am looking forward to using my experience and knowledge to help you begin your adventure as a Panther! Please feel free to reach out to me anytime with your questions, and I will be happy to help!

UPEI student adviser Richelle Greathouse

Richelle Greathouse
International Student Advisor

Hello everyone! My name is Richelle Greathouse (Hume) and I was born in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island.

I first graduated from UPEI over twenty years ago. After high school I attended McGill University in Montreal. However, after a couple of years I decided to return home to PEI. I am really glad that I came back because I got so much out of my time at UPEI. I loved the small class sizes and the amazing professors.

After a career in banking, I returned to school in 2007 to take my Social Work degree, and embark on a new career journey. I love learning new things and meeting new people, so in 2020 I completed my MEd from UPEI. New students can contact me about travel preparation and immigration requirements; current students can contact me for immigration renewals, personal support and services, and UPEI orientation. Welcome to the UPEI family!
