| Description: | Awarded to two full-time students entering fourth year who has demonstrated academic excellence, leadership with a particular emphasis on leadership in varsity sports, and who is not already receiving a major donor funded award. Preference will be given to one male and one female student. |
| Background: | This award was established in memory of Professor J. Joseph "Joe" Revell (1935-2016), the first Dean of the UPEI School of Business. During his 35-year career at UPEI, Joe was a professor, Dean, member of the University Senate and Board of Governors, and was named a UPEI Founder in 2001. Joe led the School of Business through its developing years with dedication, hard work and above all, a keen interest in the well-being of his students. Joe also served as Chairman of the University Athletic Board and rarely missed a UPEI Men's Hockey home game. This award was created by Joe's wife Jeanie, along with family and friends, to assist UPEI student-athletes in achieving their educational goals. |
