$17.00 per hour, plus 4% vacation pay

The UPEI Bookstore is seeking applicants for the position of Student Assistant - Sales Associates.

Up to 2 vacant positions: May 2026 to September 2026 (Up to 37.5 hrs/week)

Up to 5 vacant positions: September 2026 to May 2027 (Up to 20 hrs/week)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Handle cash and operate point-of-sale terminal, refunds and exchanges
  • Wait on customers
  • Restock inventory
  • Other related duties

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be a current UPEI student
  • Must be a self-starter, detail-oriented, enthusiastic
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Reliability and dependability are a must
  • Have a strong customer-service orientation
  • Retail-related experience would be an asset

Priority will be given to University of Prince Edward Island students in accordance with Recruitment, Selection, Hiring and Employment Policies and the Procedures manual.
