We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Support professional to assist with the logistical and administrative aspects of union bargaining activities. This position will involve critical tasks such as document control, preparing meeting templates, taking minutes, and managing logistics to facilitate smooth negotiations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide administrative support for the union bargaining process, including the preparation and distribution of meeting agendas and materials
  • Assist in the logistics of scheduling meetings and coordinating venues for bargaining sessions
  • Take detailed minutes during bargaining meetings and ensure accurate documentation of discussions and decisions
  • Maintain organized records and files pertaining to bargaining sessions, ensuring all documents are controlled and accessible
  • Create and manage templates for documentation, correspondence, and reports related to the bargaining process
  • Communicate effectively with union representatives, university staff, and other stakeholders to coordinate necessary arrangements

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Proven experience in administrative support or a similar role, preferably in a bargaining, union, or academic environment
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail in documentation
  • Proficiency in office software, including word processing, spreadsheets, and document management systems
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
  • Familiarity with union processes and bargaining practices is preferred
  • Experience working in a higher education environment is preferred
