Minhye Lee, a third-year student at the Atlantic Veterinary College (AVC), University of Prince Edward Island (UPEI), is taking action to help protect birds on campus through a new initiative focused on evaluating bird-window collisions.

UPEI held its annual Celebration of Colleagues on May 29, 2025, to recognize the achievements of faculty, librarians, clinical veterinary professionals, clinical nursing instructors, sessional instructors, and staff members. Over the coming weeks, UPEI Communications will include profiles of the winners of the University Awards of Excellence in editions of the Campus Connector.

Faculty and students in the UPEI Faculty of Nursing collaborated recently to present at the 2025 Atlantic Regional Canadian Association of Schools of Nursing (ARCASN) Conference in Saint John, NB.

The theme of the conference was “Fostering Resilience: Supporting Students, Nurses, and Educators in Nursing.”

Lucy Li, a Master of Environmental Sciences student at UPEI and a member of the UPEI Climate Smart Lab, is seeking participants for a survey study about the mental health impacts of coastal erosion.

The King Charles III Coronation Medal was created to mark the Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III, which took place on May 6, 2023. It is the first Canadian commemorative medal to mark a coronation and recognizes individuals who have made a significant contribution to a particular province, territory, region or community in Canada, or attained an outstanding achievement abroad that brings credit to the country.
