Summer Study Abroad Opportunities with UPEI Partner Schools

The 34th Jyväskylä Summer School at our partner school University of Jyväskylä

Program dates: August 4–15, 2025
Deadline: April 30, 2025

Jyväskylä Summer School, organized at the University of Jyväskylä this year for the 34th time, offers high-quality courses for advanced Bachelor’s students, Master’s students, PhD students and post-docs in various fields of natural sciences, mathematics and information technology. All courses are taught in English by distinguished researchers from different parts of the world.

Participation in all Summer School courses is free of charge. Students from all over the world are encouraged to apply.

Please note that the Summer School in Human Sciences is on a break for 2025. This year's course offerings are STEM focused only. 


Fukuoka Women's University's International Summer Program 2025

Fukuoka Women's University's International Summer Program 2025 is now open for registration.

This year's theme: Understanding Japanese Society and Culture in an International Context

The program will take place from August 3–19, 2025. For further details, please reach out to studyabroad@upei.ca for more information and for the application form.

Application deadline is May 15, 2025.

A scholarship will be offered to one participant from UPEI!!! 


Summer Program – Kindai University in Osaka, Japan (July, 2025)

Kindai University in Osaka, Japan, will be hosting another summer program for partner university students this July!

The Kindai Short-Term Japanese Program is a 3-week program and consists of the following:

  • Japanese language classes (90 mins x 23 classes)
  • Hands-on cultural workshops (once or twice a week)
  • Event organized by Kindai students

The highlight of this program is the interaction with Kindai students.

In addition to their original event, they also join some of Japanese classes and cultural workshops.

Program participants can experience authentic Japanese student life and learn real spoken Japanese by interacting with local students.

Korea: Dankook University's International Summer School (ISS) 2025

The application portal will open February 1; deadlines for applying are between March 16, 2025 and May 31, 2025.

Students also need to complete their online application by:

  • March 16, 2025 - if applying for the Global Village + Academic Program
  • April 30, 2025 - if applying for the Academic Program only
  • May 31, 2025 - if applying for the Korean Immersion Program only

Only four (4) UPEI seats available!

This is a yearly recurring series of summer programs taking place in late June, July and August at Dankook University, South Korea and is organized by the ISS team of DKU's Office of International Affairs. Their office has been running the program since 2009 and over the years have had the pleasure to welcome hundreds of international students from all around the globe.

The International Summer School is divided into three programs over the course of summer: the Global Village in June–July, the Academic Program in July, and the Korean Immersion Program in August.

To summarize, the Global Village is a unique three-week teaching internship program where participants teach conversation classes in their mother language to small groups of DKU students, before continuing to the Academic Program. Dates are: June 18–July 4, 2025. Up to $1,000 USD flight reimbursement and free dormitory provided.

In the four-week Academic Program participants can attend one or two interesting academic courses taught by international and DKU faculty. During the week after classes and on Saturdays, participants can participate in fun cultural activities like K-pop dance, Taekwondo, Temple Stay, and many more. Dates are: July 5-August 1, 2025.

Finally, the Korean Immersion Program is a three-week program in August where participants will be immersed in Korean language and culture by taking intensive Korean classes and joining various fun cultural activities to learn about Korean culture. Dates are: August 4–22, 2025.

France: Renne School of Business Exchange Summer Programs 2025

  • Consumer Behaviour in a Digital World - From Tuesday, June 3 to Friday, June 13, 2025 - Course description

Students interested in participating must submit their applications to OSAIP by April 8, 2025, to be considered. OSAIP will nominate selected students to the Rennes School of Business by April 15, 2025.

  • Students must fill out the application form via our online portal: the link will be sent to students directly after nominations.
  • Documents must be sent in .pdf format; no photos of the documents will be accepted.
  • Any application received after the deadlines will not be considered.

Paris and the Keys to Luxury Business
From July 21 to 30, 2025 - Course description
This summer programme is to impart fundamental knowledge on how and why French luxury brands are so successful. To do this, you will learn about the history of luxury and the current strategy of luxury brands.
Place: Paris
Course fees: 1 400 € (including 90€ non-refundable application fee - without accommodation)

A.I. Business
From May 19 to June 13, 2025 - Course description 
This summer programme is to Earn an AI Business certificate while mastering Python, machine learning, deep learning, and data visualization to create impactful AI-driven business solutions.

Next steps

  • Acceptance Letter will be sent within 2 weeks after submission of the application form.
  • Visa is strongly recommended to start the visa process as soon as students receive their acceptance letter so as to avoid any delay/refusal.
  • Administration registration: a compulsory online registration session will take place 2 weeks before the beginning of the summer programme, in order to be enrolled on the course. Students will be informed by email after acceptance.
  • Accommodation: students will have access to a list of accommodation options upon acceptance.

National Taiwan University in Taiwan - NTU Plus Academy 2025 Summer+ Programs

The Office of International Affairs at National Taiwan University in Taiwan has the following summer offerings!

By offering a variety of topic-based short-term programs, the NTU Plus Academy enables students from all around the world to gain international experience and explore different cultures.

Please feel free to look into each program outlined.

1. Chinese Studies:

The language course is designed to meet the needs of students at all levels, from beginners to those who have prior experience with the Chinese language.

Japan: Waseda University, Tokyo - Waseda Summer Session 2025

Waseda University offers Summer Session once-in-a-lifetime 6 weeks program for Undergraduate students worldwide from June 16 to July 24, 2025.

Whether they want to explore their academic interests or Japanese unique cultures, our summer session provides the perfect opportunity. Students will also have the chance to meet new friends, including local students and experience campus life at Waseda. Participants will choose 2 or 3 subjects out of 16 subjects in the context of Japan and Asia Pacific and can earn 4-6 credits (2 credits for each. Each subject has 23.5 teaching hours).

The classes are entirely taught in English by well-known faculty members. In addition, and most importantly, there will be a lot of extracurricular activities such as Japanese language exercises, field trips, site visits, and cultural events!
