Introducing UPEI’s Open Education Resource Development program
The following is released jointly by the Government of PEI, UPEISU, and UPEI.
UPEI’s Robertson Library, in partnership with the Province of Prince Edward Island, and the UPEI Student Union (UPEISU), has created a program to support the creation, adaptation, or peer review of open education resources (OERs) at UPEI to lower the cost of learning materials for students.

Island Lecture Series presents: the environmental turn in Island tourism
The February presentation in the Island Lecture Series features Dr. Edward MacDonald speaking about tourism and the environment. The lecture will be held Tuesday, February 18, at 7 pm in the Faculty Lounge of UPEI’s SDU Main Building.
High school students! Learn public speaking from broadcaster Bruce Rainnie
UPEI’s Applied Communications, Leadership, and Culture (ACLC) program is pleased to offer its second annual Public Speaking for High School students workshop with broadcaster and ACLC Journalist-in-Residence Bruce Rainnie. The one-day workshop is Saturday, March 14, from 10 am to 2 pm. Students must register to attend by March 7.
Panthers at Home, February 5 to 9
It’s the last week of the regular season for varsity basketball and hockey, and all four UPEI teams have games at home. It’s also Seniors’ Week at UPEI, as each team salutes its graduating players. Here is your Panthers at Home schedule for February 5 to 9.
Wednesday
The UPEI men’s hockey team clinched a playoff spot, but they’re still hungry to put a few more wins in the bank. The Panthers play a mid-week game at home at 7 pm in the MacLauchlan Arena against the Université de Moncton.

The Black Cultural Society of PEI has partnered with the UPEI International Student Office to host a panel discussion called "Creating A New Dynamic on Campus" as part of Black History Month 2020.
UPEI announces the Panther Subway Athletes of the Week, January 20 to 26
Every week, UPEI Athletics and Recreation recognizes two student-athletes for their achievements and dedication to their respective sports. Congratulations to Kaylee Dufresne and Owen Headrick, the UPEI Panther Subway Athletes of the Week for January 27 to February 2. Headrick was also named the AUS Athlete of the Week!
