Have you ever thought of completing a Master's degree in, among other things, island tourism, sustainability, or international relations, all while staying on the Island? If so, you are invited to an information session on UPEI's Master of Arts, Island Studies programs. In addition to the traditional thesis-based option, you are now able to take one of three course and work-study-based Master’s specializing in Island Tourism, Sustainable Island Communities, or International Relations & Island Public Policy.
UPEI extends condolences, offers support after tragic plane crash in Iran
University of Prince Edward Island President and Vice-Chancellor Alaa Abd-El-Aziz issued a statement to the University community today about the tragic crash of Ukraine International Airlines Flight PS752 near Tehran.
"As information continues to come forward about Wednesday’s horrific plane crash in Iran and its 176 victims, our entire country mourns," President Abd-El-Aziz said. "On behalf of the UPEI community, I extend my deepest condolences to the families, friends, and colleagues of all those who perished in this tragedy."

New Associate Vice-President, Facilities Management and Construction announced
Vice-President Administration and Finance Jackie Podger announced today that Fred Horrelt has been appointed Associate Vice-President, Facilities Management and Construction at the University of Prince Edward Island.
“I look forward to working with Fred on advancing the University’s goals in terms of our facilities, capital projects, and operations,” she said. “His leadership experience in the development and maintenance of educational facilities will be a great asset as we strive to enhance and expand our campus spaces in healthy, safe, and environmentally friendly ways.”

Island Lecture Series presents ‘Beyond the Asylum’
The next talk in the Institute of Island Studies’ Island Lecture Series will feature Dr. Tina Pranger speaking about her book documenting the history of mental health care on Prince Edward Island.
