CPA Information Booth

Shawn Smith from the CPA Atlantic School of Business will be hosting an information seesion in Charlottetown later this month. The sessions are being held on November 20, 2014 at 9:00am, 12:00noon and 6:30pm at the Holman Grand Hotel, 123 Grafton Street. RSVP to advisor@cpaatlantic.ca. CIS Men's Soccer Championship Pre-game Social

UPEI students, staff, faculty and alumni are invited to take part in the Men’s CIS Soccer Championship Pre-game Social at The Wave in the W.A. Murphy Student Centre on Thursday, November 6 from 4:30-6:30 pm. All former UPEI soccer players are invited to attend the opening ceremonies of the tournament at 6:30 pm where a special recognition of UPEI’s 1984 CIAU semi-finalist team will take place. Food and drink specials will be available from 4:30-6:15 pm in addition to live entertainment by Chris Dalziel, followed by the UPEI Panthers’ opening game at 7:00 pm. Registration for this event is required for alumni to reserve a free day pass and special gift; please contact alumni@upei.ca. Alumni who have registered can pick up their free pass and gift at The Wave. Tickets to the Men's CIS Soccer games can be purchased by visiting or calling Panther Central at (902) 566-0368. Swap for Supplies

Join UPEI 103 students with their co-curricular project taking place on Wednesday, November 12 and Thursday, November 13, 9:30 am-12:30 pm in McMillan Hall, W.A. Murphy Student Centre. The students are setting up a Swap for Supplies yard-sale event to support second-year engineering students who are travelling to Mikinduri, Kenya in February to help support communities alongside the Children of Hope organization. Supplies needed include: pens, pencils, flashlights, bandaids, sealed pain medication (tylenol, aspirin, etc), and toothbrushes. Individuals who bring in supplies will have the opportunity to 'swap' their supplies for various gently-used items including books, clothing, decorations, etc. Don't have these supplies? International Coffee House

An International Coffee House will take place on Thursday, November 13 from 5:30-7:30 pm in McMillan Hall, W.A. Murphy Student Centre. The event is hosted by the International Relations Office, Buddy Program, Chinese Knot Club, Japanese Study Society, and the Korean Student Society. Come enjoy the entertainment, with free snacks, drinks, and loads of coffee! Everyone is welcome to attend.

Annual Graduate Students' Association Social

Graduate students, faculty, and staff are invited to attend the Annual Graduate Students' Association Social, hosted by the Graduate Students' Association on Monday, November 17 from 7:00-9:00 pm in McMillan Hall, W.A. Murphy Student Centre. There will be games, a photobooth, food and drinks, and a 50/50 draw. The annual faculty and staff awards will be announced during the event as well. Public Presentation by Dr. Amy Hasiao

The campus community is invited to a public presentation by Dr. Amy Hsiao, an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science at Memorial University of Newfoundland. Amy’s presentation is entitled: Industrial Application of Materials Selection, Characterization, and Testing. Amy is a candidate for a tenure-track faculty position in the School of Engineering The presentation is scheduled for Thursday, November 13 at 2:00 pm in room 106 in the Health Sciences Building. Everyone is welcome.

Bring your panther sprit to the UPEI Turf feild to cheer on the men's soccer team as they take on York in the championship semi-final game #2 of the CIS Men's Soccer Championships at 6:30 pm.
