Fish Tagging, Surgery, and Welfare Workshop
Overview
The “Fish Tagging, Surgery, and Welfare Workshop” is designed for fish biologists, technicians, and researchers to enhance their skills and knowledge through lectures and hands-on labs. Participants will learn techniques for successfully anesthetizing fish, performing tagging surgeries, conducting water quality tests, and performing postmortem examinations, with an emphasis on field conditions.
Laboratory sessions involve live salmonids, and instruction is provided by faculty, staff from the Atlantic Veterinary College, and experienced fish veterinarians.
