Dr. Derek Schipper, Department of Chemistry, University of Waterloo will present a seminar on Wednesday, September 18 at 12:30 pm. Dr. Schipper’s presentation is titled “Advances in Catalytic Methods and Functional Aromatic Structures”.
The seminar will be held in Room 212 in the NRC lecture theatre.
The UPEI women's hockey and rugby teams will host the third annual UPEI
Kitchen Party on Friday, September 27 at Peakes Quay. A reception and
silent auction will begin at 6:00 pm, followed by a delicious lobster
dinner served at 6:30. Funds raised will directly support the
student-athlete experience via athletic awards, professional training,
elite exhibition schedules, and more.
Tickets are available for $40 per seat, or $320 per table of eight. To
purchase a ticket or to find out how you can donate auction items, please
contact Bruce Donaldson at whockey@upei.ca or Shannon Atkins at
wrugby@upei.ca.

The UPEI women's basketball team will host a fundraising golf tournament on Thursday, September 19 at the Rustico Resort Golf & Tennis Club. The 2013 Hoops & Greens Golf Classic will begin with check-in at 9:00 am and a shotgun start at 10:00 am.
Teams of four can register for $400 per team which includes their green fee, a post-round barbecue, on course contests, and awards/door prizes. Registration deadline is Monday, September 16.

The deadline for Animal Care Protocol Submissions -- new, renewal, or amendments -- is Friday, October 4 for the October meeting. Ensure you always download the current forms from http://research.upei.ca/animal_care and use Adobe Reader to complete forms. Only current forms will be accepted.
Both the signed hard copy and electronic protocol submission must be submitted by the deadline date.
∙ Submit one copy of original protocol with signature to AVC - Annex, Biomedical Sciences Dept., Rm 2302.
∙ Submit an electronic copy to animalcare@upei.ca
