Fourteen UPEI graduate students presented their research to judges, friends, fellow graduate students, faculty, staff, and UPEI senior administrators during the 2025 3-Minute Thesis competition on May 7.

The excitement and pride were palpable at the University of Prince Edward Island this past week when over 1,200 members of the Class of 2025 graduated with their undergraduate and graduate degrees.

Dr. Stacey MacKinnon, professor of psychology at UPEI, has been named a 2025 3M National Teaching Fellow by the Society for Teaching and Learning in Higher Education (STLHE) and 3M Canada.

The UPEI Department of Religious Studies and the 8th Avenue Players will present a free concert featuring songs from Godspell on May 12, at 8 pm, in the Dr. Steel Recital Hall, Steel Building.

UPEI will celebrate over 1,200 graduates at Convocation ceremonies to be held from May 13 to 16, 2025, at the Chi-Wan Young Sports Centre. Each ceremony will start at 10:00 am and will be preceded by a procession of graduates across campus.

The Institute of Island Studies, University of Prince Edward Island, will present a talk titled “The ‘family farm’: A keyword in Prince Edward Island land politics” by Heidi Haering on May 20, at 7 pm in the Faculty Lounge, SDU Main Building 201.
