UPEI Track and Field athlete Alaere Peterside to compete at U SPORTS Track and Field Championship March 9
UPEI Track and Field competitor Alaere Peterside will compete in the U SPORTS Track and Field Championship this weekend in Winnipeg. The championship is being hosted by the University of Manitoba at the James Daly Fieldhouse from March 7–9, 2024.
UPEI welcomes Scott Gosse as new manager of Security Services
The University of Prince Edward Island (UPEI) is pleased to welcome Scott Gosse as the new manager of Security Services. Gosse will oversee a variety of operations that serve to protect and provide for the ongoing safety of the people, property, and information resources of the University community.
Gosse holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology degree from UPEI (2001) and trained as a Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) officer at the RCMP Depot in Saskatchewan (1998).
2024 Summer Job and Career Fair at UPEI March 13
The 2024 Summer Job and Career Fair, hosted by UPEI’s Experiential Education department, will take place on March 13, 2024, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the W.A. Murphy Student Centre.
The fair will bring together a diverse range of employers from various industries actively seeking to hire students and recent graduates. Attendees will have the chance to network with employers and explore both summer job positions and full-time career opportunities.

UPEI Faculty of Nursing celebrates first-year students during Scrub Coat Ceremony
The UPEI Faculty of Nursing, in collaboration with the PEI Department of Health and Wellness, held its Scrub Coat Ceremony on February 27, 2024, at the UPEI Performing Arts Centre. The ceremony was a celebration of 67 first-year undergraduate nursing students and 16 first-year accelerated nursing students.

The University 100 program helps students transition from secondary to post-secondary education, introducing them to the University and giving them key tools such as critical thinking, oral and written communication, and research skills.
