UPEI Self-Care Fair for students, staff and faculty

The UPEI Healthy Campus Committee invites all students, staff, and faculty to come out to the UPEI Self-Care Fair on Wednesday, November 20, between 10:00 am–2:00 pm in McMillan Hall, W.A. Murphy Student Centre.

There will be FREE food, prizes, and a variety of health and wellness booths! Spin the wheel for a chance to win prizes! 

Donations of non-perishable food will also be accepted in support of the UPEI Campus Food Bank. 

Ashley McCutcheon and Kyree Thompson named UPEI Panther Athletes of the Week

Every week, UPEI Athletics and Recreation recognizes student-athletes for their achievements and contributions to their respective sports. The UPEI Panther Athletes of the Week for November 11–17, 2024, are Ashley McCutcheon (women’s hockey) and Kyree Thompson (men’s basketball).

McCutcheon, a fourth-year business student from Kitchener, Ontario, came through in the clutch for the Panthers, netting a crucial late-game goal on November 15 against a tough St. Francis Xavier University squad to force overtime and secure a valuable point for the team.

UPEI Department of Music Showcase Recital

The UPEI Department of Music Showcase Recital celebrates the solo and collaborative work of advanced instrumental and voice majors taking applied courses in performance. These young artists will perform classic works of the 18th and 19th centuries by composers such as Mozart and Chopin as well as contemporary works by emerging North American composers including Nova Scotia's Hope Salmonson. 

Please note the start time of 7:00 pm.

Accessible parking is available, and accessible entry to the Recital Hall is available via elevator.

Dania Tamayo-Vera, assistant professor in SMCS, will speak about the immense effects that generative AI has had and will have in the future, and how we can position ourselves to lead in this new era. Atlantic Veterinary College welcomes first Artist-in-Residence

The Atlantic Veterinary College (AVC) at the University of Prince Edward Island is pleased to welcome its first-ever artist-in-residence, Christopher Griffin. Known for his innovative and captivating works, Griffin will bring a creative spark to the College through this inaugural program. 

From now until April 2025, Griffin will work on his art in the annex area of the AVC where students, faculty, staff, and visitors are invited to stop by, watch his creative process unfold, and engage with him about his work.
