Media Advisory: TELUS Ride for Dad to announce funding for UPEI prostate cancer research The media are advised of a press conference and photo opportunity tomorrow for the announcement of new funding from the TELUS Ride for Dad in support of prostate cancer research at UPEI. When: 1:30 pm, Wednesday, June 3, 2015 Where: Main floor lounge, Duffy Science Centre, UPEI, 550 University Avenue, Charlottetown What: The TELUS Ride For Dad raises funds to save men’s lives by supporting prostate cancer research and raising public awareness of the disease. Funds raised go to research and awareness activities in the region where the funds were collected. A laboratory tour will be offered to media and tour members after the announcement.

The Women are looking to get back at it following the break, they will host the Huskies at the Sports Centre. Game time is 6:00pm

UPEI is proud to be the venue for the Island Gymnastics Academy's Gymstrada, an annual gymnastics dance and tumbling extravaganza. The academy's traditional year-end show features both recreational and competitive gymnasts from pre-school to national level. The competitive girls will feature numbers choreographed by Halina Terentieva, who directs the dance program for the club. The performances run Friday at 6 p.m. and 11 a.m. on Saturday and are open to the public. Admission is $5 for adults, $2 for school-aged children, and free for pre-schoolers.

Acadia comes to the Sports Centre for a two game set, the first being tonight at 6pm.

The Acadia Axemen will take on your UPEI Panthers at the Sports Centre, tip off following the women's game at 8pm.
