Bring along your mat and water bottle and join Lyndsey Paynter for a relaxing hour of yoga. This session provides a full body strength and flexibility workout which tones the body. Long stretches will melt away stress and create a feeling of deep relaxation. Full MHW Schedule of Events

Mental Health Week Bubble Soccer

The game will have eight players, encased in zorb-like inflatable bubbles, who will bounce into each other as they fight for possession of the soccer ball. Short games with four on four. Participants are asked to wear indoor sneakers and come dressed in gym attire. Registration is on a first come first serve basis. All participants will be required to sign a waiver form. MHW: Glow Flow Yoga

Flow Yoga is a dynamic, constantly moving class where movements are linked with breath. Join Rebecca Gass, Certified Yoga Instructor, for a fun, upbeat, glow in the dark class featuring different variations of sun salutations and invigorating poses encompassing whole body and core. All levels are encouraged to attend. Participants are asked to bring their own mat, water and wear comfortable clothing. Space is limited, so please complete the registration form to attend. Coffee with a Stranger

Diane Burke, along with her daughter Jenna Burke (who is an Aboriginal Student Mentor with Mawi'omi and in her fourth year at UPEI) will give a talk on the Residential School System and its impact on families & relationships. Diane's mom, Jenna's grandmother, attended the Shubenacadie Residential school. This promises to be a very meaningful and important conversation. Snacks and refreshments will be provided. What determines a healthy relationship? Have you ever worried that you are in an unhealthy relationship? What are the warning signs to look for? Can you make a long distance relationship work? Stress and Relaxation Management

Our minds and bodies need rest and recovery breaks to allow us to relax and reduce the effects of stress. This seminar will show participants how to make time to calm down and reduce stress, using both proactive and reactive relaxation technique. Space is limited so please sign up before March 9.
