The Barn Reunion

On August 6, 2016 the Barn awakens for one night only. This will be a fun-filled evening for alumni to gather and reminisce about their favorite memories of the Barn, The Pig and Whistle (aka ‘The Pig’), and the Panther Lounge.  The night will feature a special tribute to the class of 1991 (celebrating 25 years) with music provided by DJs Blake Doyle and Joel Ives. Pride Flag Raising at UPEI

UPEI, in partnership with Student Affairs, the Student Diversity Office, and Pride PEI will raise the pride flag on Monday, July 25, 2016 at 2:30 pm at the flag plaza near Kelley Memorial Building to recognize the PEI Pride Festival taking place July 24-30. All are welcome to attend the flag raising as well as the reception that will follow in the Credit Union Day Lounge at the W.A. Murphy Student Centre. Pride PEI will be raising flags at other locations across the province throughout the day.    

The announcement of the UNESCO Chair in Island Studies and Sustainability

Please join us Friday for an announcement and celebration of the new UNESCO Chair in Island Studies and Sustainability at UPEI. The chair will work to establish and expand academic and research programmes on Small Island Developing States (SIDS) and Sub-National Island Jurisdictions (SNIJs). It will operate from the premise that SIDS and SNIJs are innovative, entrepreneurial, and connected, not vulnerable, lacking and isolated. The chair is one of 700 UNESCO chairs around the world and is the first in Atlantic Canada.
