The Physics department and the Charlottetown chapter of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada (RASC) will be offering a free public viewing on Saturday, August 24 at 8:30pm on the rooftop of the Memorial Hall. Beginning in September 2013, viewings will be scheduled on the second Saturday each month. The times for the viewings will vary from month to month depending on the daylight hours. Access to the building can be through either the main doors at the front, or off one side, where there is ramp access to a small side door. Memorial room 417, the room just before heading up that final flight of stairs to the roof, is used as a gathering point. If it is raining, completely overcast, or the weather is predicted to be very poor, then the astronomy viewing will be cancelled.
