Meet the Veterans Affairs Canada Student Ambassador at UPEI

Would you like to learn more about employment opportunities with the federal government? The Veterans Affairs Canada student ambassador at UPEI will help you access federal employment opportunities and navigate the application process for student programs like the Federal Student Work Experience Program (FSWEP). He will assist with inquiries related to Veterans Affairs Canada and offer advice on securing federal positions after graduation.

"I've never left the campus since being a student. UPEI feels like my second home!"

What brought you to UPEI?

I'm PEI-born and raised, and decided to stay and raise a family here. PEI has so much to offer with all four seasons of outside adventures. When I decided to go to university, UPEI was the only place I thought about—I've never left the campus since being a student. UPEI feels like my second home!

A Brief Introduction to First-Year Seminars and Learning Communities

As UPEI continues to think about the best first-year experience or our students, Shannon Murray and Philip Smith will introduce two successful programs from our past: the First-Year Advantage Program and the senior student-led First-Year Seminar. After a brief description of each program, we will open up the discussion to the larger question of what we hope for in the experience of our first-year undergraduate students. Join us in the Teaching and Learning Centre on Thursday, October 10 at 3:00 pm for a "thought-full" discussion.
