Executive MBA Summerside Information Session
UPEI’s Executive MBA program offers a high-quality learning experience for working business professionals. The program is designed for those working in, or aspiring to work, in a management or leadership position. Classes are offered bi-weekly on Fridays and Saturdays with the option to complete the program in 20 months. Central to the program design is an evidence-based management approach which helps students develop the skills and knowledge to make better-informed and well-supported decisions both in the program and in applied situations in their workplaces.

AVC Seminar Series Presentation
Dr. Paul Hanna, Associate Professor of Anatomic Pathology in the Department of Pathology & Microbiology, AVC will present "Reflections on 25 years of teaching at the Atlantic Veterinary College".
This presentation will discuss some experiences and lessons-learned from 25 years of teaching pathology at the Atlantic Veterinary College. Some of the challenges in the DVM program include: shifting student attitudes and expectations, adopting new teaching technologies and contending with grade-inflation. Additionally, He will discuss what factors he believes have contributed to the success of the MVSc-residency program in anatomic pathology.
Candlelight Vigil Against Homophobia and Bullying
On Thursday October 18th at 6:00pm in the Quad in front of Main building at the University of Prince Edward Island, the UPEI Rainbow Alliance will be holding their third annual Candlelight Vigil Against Homophobia and Bullying.
This event is to educate people, and remember those who have taken their lives, or had their lives taken, due to homophobia and other kinds of bullying. There will be guest speakers as well as a candlelight ceremony.

Japan Exchange and Teaching Programme (JET)
Coordinated by UPEI Career Services and Student Union, The Japan Exchange and Teaching Programme (JET) will have an information kiosk on Wednesday October 17, 2012 from 12:30-3:30 pm in the W. A. Murphy Student Centre Concourse. Anyone interested in going on a student exchange or teaching in Japan is invited to stop by and speak with a JET representative.

International Opportunities Day
The International Relations Office will be hosting an International Opportunities Day (IOD) in the PIT of Robertson Library Building on October 24th, 2012 from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm.
The purpose of this event is to introduce students to any and all international opportunities that UPEI offers (studying, working, volunteering internationally, etc.). As part of this day, a fair will be set up, featuring booths from various UPEI departments, as well as several of our partner schools.
A presentation by Chad Dumond, from Globalinks (http://www.globalinksabroad.org/) as well as guest speaker Stuart Floyd from Bond University in Australia (http://www.bond.edu.au/) will be speaking at 12:30 - 1:30 in RL 208. Ongoing student presentations will also take place in RL 208 from 11-12:30.
