Please note that the Central Printing Office is closed and will reopen January 6, 2020. As a result, regular CPO services will not be available.

Faculty requiring the printing of lab manuals or similar resources for their courses in Winter 2020, we will work with you and your Dean/Chair to ensure that your manuals are printed.

For those requiring exams or similar bulk copying, we would ask that you utilize copiers/printers in your own departments while the CPO is closed.

For those requiring large format printing (eg. conference posters) please contact Gilbert Blatch (blatch@upei.ca).

The deadline for applications to Radiography for Fall 2020 has been extended to January 15, 2020. Applicants need to be enrolled or have completed all required prerequisite Biology, Calculus, Chemistry, and Physics courses in order to be eligible to be considered. The Faculty of Education would like to invite all to attend Lomeharshan Lall's public presentation of his MEd research titled: Teachers' Experiences Creating and Delivering Indigenous Curricula On Prince Edward Island In Response To The Truth and Reconciliation Commission's Recommendations.

Please note, Adam Brimacombe, a student in the MA Island Studies program, was scheduled to defend his thesis entitled, "Aspects of Global Environmental Change in Relation to Papua New Guinea, Small Islands and Human Security" this week. It has been postponed to the new year. 

We are hosting an additional Flu Clinic by Public Health Nursing on December 11th from 1:00-5:00 pm for those who missed earlier clinics. There is no cost for the flu shot; you need to produce your health number or international insurance number.  No need for appointments - the clinic is walk-in only. Drop by anytime between 1:00 pm and 5;00 pm December 11th to get your flu shot. The clinic will be held at the UPEI Health & Wellness Centre, 2nd floor of the Murphy Building (North end).

A UPEI Employee Yoga Stretch & Meditation Class will be held on Wednesdays from 12:10 pm - 12:55 pm at Sports Centre. Yoga Instructor Pam Harris will guide you through a 45 minute class offers meditation and gentle yoga stretches. The meditation segment of the class creates more calm, inner peace and balance that benefits both your emotional wellbeing and overall health

The class is FREE and for current UPEI employees only. Pre-registration is required. Sessions happen on a monthly rotation basis. To apply, please visit myUPEI, under the Forms section to complete the application.  This class is provided by the Healthy Campus Committee, supported by UPEI Employee Wellness Strategy.

Brenda Dowel, a registered Yoga Teacher E-RYT-1000 and Licensed Holistic Practitioner. She provides Myofascial Release Therapy, Lomilomi, Fascial Stretch Therapy, Life Stretch & Thai Yoga Massage with her business.   After many years of teaching, Brenda is continually uplifted, and wishes to continue to inspire and empower others to come home to their hearts through their bodies and live their true passion.

Brenda will lead this class on Tuesday, December 17, 4:30 pm - 5:45 pm, Sports Centre fitness studio #1.    Pre-registration is required, no cost.   Please contact Angela Marchbank at amarchbank@upei.ca to register.   This workshop is provided for UPEI employees by the Healthy Campus Committee.  Space limited to 20 participants.

Do you have library fines? Would you like to help a fellow student or family on campus?

Bring non-perishable food or grocery items (e.g. canned goods, pasta, light bulbs, toilet paper, etc.- please no damaged, expired, or opened goods) for the UPEI Food Bank to the Service Desk at the Library from Wednesday, December 4 to Saturday, December 14, 2019 and we’ll deduct $2.00 per item from your library fines.

And, if you don't have any Library fines? We will gladly accept your items (as mentioned above) to support the UPEI Food Bank!
