It's not too late to nominate honorary degree recipients for Convocation 2026!
The University of Prince Edward Island invites the nomination of candidates for honorary degrees to be conferred at Convocation in May 2026.
Honorary degrees are conferred honoris causa, “for the sake of honour,” and are intended to recognize outstanding provincial, national, and international contributions in any field of endeavour. Contributions should reflect extraordinary intellectual or artistic achievements, or significant service to society at a standard of excellence that merits the University’s highest honour.
The wait is over: The stretch that shapes the season
With winter championships on the horizon and playoff races tightening across the board, UPEI’s varsity teams return to action this week looking to make some noise. From championship chases and breakout stars to critical home stretches and rising young cores, the Panthers are entering the most important stretch of the season where every shift, shot, and stride carry real weight.
