UPEI Philosophy Reading Group Meeting
The UPEI Philosophy Reading Group will meet on Saturday, November 22, from 3:00 to 4:00 pm in the Lady Slipper Room, Charlottetown Library Learning Centre, 97 Queen Street. All are welcome.
During this gathering, we will discuss pages 44 (from 'Nietzsche and Science') to 68 (up to 'Second Aspect of the Eternal Return') from Gilles Deleuze's Nietzsche and Philosophy.

UPEI will host a Research on Tap event on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at 6 pm, at the Salvador Dali Café, 155 Kent Street, Charlottetown, PEI.
Dr. Malcolm Murray, professor of philosophy, will give a talk titled “Can Morality Accommodate Supererogation?” His talk will be followed by a question-and-answer discussion.

TLC Lunch and Learn: Live Polling with Mootimeter
Mootimeter is a live-polling tool inspired by Mentimeter, the tool has recently been added to our Moodle at UPEI. This session will go over how to setup and use the tool. This Lunch and Learn will take place in the UPEI Teaching and Learning Centre located in the Robertson Library Annex (RL 230) on November 27 at 12:30pm. Register with this link.

Bren Simmers wins prestigious Writers’ Trust of Canada award for poetry
Bren Simmers, publication coordinator at the Island Studies Press, the publishing arm of the Institute of Island Studies at UPEI, was awarded the Latner Griffin Writers’ Trust Poetry Prize during the Writers’ Trust of Canada’s annual awards ceremony in Toronto on November 13.
Ingrid Khuong and Kyree Thompson named UPEI Panther Source for Sports Athletes of the Week
Every week, UPEI Athletics and Recreation recognizes student-athletes for their achievements and contributions to their respective sports. The UPEI Panther Source for Sports Athletes of the Week for November 10–16 are Ingrid Khuong (women’s basketball) and Kyree Thompson (men’s basketball).
