UPEI Panther and Acadia Axeman team up to raise funds and awareness for multiple sclerosis
Carson MacKinnon, UPEI Men’s Hockey Panthers forward, and Jack Flaman, captain of the Acadia University Axemen, are hosting a joint fundraiser for multiple sclerosis (MS) in support of their siblings.
A love of hockey first brought the two together as teenagers in Wilcox, Saskatchewan, and now, even though they play for competing hockey teams in two provinces, they are teaming up to raise funds and awareness for the cause that has touched both of their lives.
UPEI Women’s Basketball Panthers have signed their first recruit for the 2023–2024 season
The UPEI Women’s Basketball Panthers have signed their first recruit of 2023–2024. Lily Vrugteman is a skilled 17-year-old guard from Cambridge, Ontario.
Head coach Matt Gamblin says he is very excited that she has decided to join the UPEI team.
“Lily is an extremely hard worker. She has a growth-minded attitude and is always working to get better,” said Gamblin. “Lily will come in and do the work and help us keep growing the program.”

Mindful Movement Virtual Event - Bell Let's Talk Week
Join us virtually on Thursday, January 26, from 6:00 pm–7:00 pm for this Mindful Movement session hosted by UPEI Athletics and Recreation.
A gentle movement class focusing on sensations in the body and feelings evoked through various forms of movement, facilitator Maria Campbell will finish the session with a reflection on how the different movements affected participants.

Splatter Paint Night – Bell Let's Talk
Come join the Campus Life Program team on Tuesday, January 24, from 6:00–10:00 pm for a Splatter Paint Night!
Students will have the opportunity to throw paint at a blank canvas to relieve stress and raise awareness about mental health. The event and program is located in our Day Lounge in the south end of the W.A. Murphy Student Centre. There will be lots of free hot chocolate and snacks as well. You won't want to miss it!
