The Faculty of Science wishes to announce Katelynn Donahoe, masters student, will be defending her thesis entitled "THE EFFECTS OF A TOPICAL CREATINE CREAM ON MUSCLE POWER OUTPUT AND FATIGUE FOLLOWING ACUTE APPLICATION AND SHORT TERM LOADING." Everyone welcome.
The presentation begins at 8:30 on Friday, February 2 in Health Sciences Building 301.
The PEI History of Medicine Society is pleased to welcome Dr. Adam Rostis, St Mary's University, our first exchange with the Dalhousie History of Medicine Society, funded by the Robert Pope Foundation. His timely talk will look at the Red Cross and Doctors Without Borders, both formed in the aftermath of war, but in different eras and contexts. Given the changing nature of conflict and the ever-increasing humanitarian cost of war, what can we learn from the formation stories of these iconic organizations that may shed light on how humanitarianism might look in the future? The event is February 7 at 7:00 pm in the Faculty Loung of UPE's SDU Main Building. All are welcome.
Are you considering cancelling one of your classes due to a scheduling conflict? Consider a career related workshop instead – UPEI Career Services in the department of Work Integrated Learning offers customized in-class workshops. Preparations are currently underway for our Career and Summer Job Fair on March 7, and we would welcome the opportunity to facilitate in-class workshops to help prepare students for the Career Fair. Please note that we require at least 48 hours advance notice. For more information, contact Tara Corman at tcorman@upei.ca.
