2026 Shannon K. Murray Lecture on Hope and the Academy
This year’s Shannon K. Murray Lecture Hope for Humans features Dr. Kevin Gannon, Director of the Center for the Advancement of Faculty Excellence and Professor of History at Queens University of Charlotte.
The Shannon K. Murray Lecture on Hope and the Academy will take place on Tuesday, September 22, at 3:30 pm in SDU Main Building, Faculty Lounge, Room 201.

Scholarship created to recognize Doane Grant Thornton’s Kevin Ladner
The Doane Grant Thornton Foundation has created the Amazing Lives, Rewarding Careers: Kevin Ladner Doane Grant Thornton Foundation Scholarship to recognize UPEI alumnus Kevin Ladner’s exceptional leadership and commitment to developing the next generation of accounting professionals. Beginning this year, a $5,000 annual scholarship will be awarded to a third- or fourth-year accounting student in UPEI’s McDougall Faculty of Business.
