The UPEI Philosophy Reading Group will meet on Saturday, June 7, from 4:00 to 5:00 pm in the Lady Slipper Room, Charlottetown Library Learning Centre, 97 Queen Street, Charlottetown.

Atlantic Veterinary College expands access to Canadian veterinary students
The Atlantic Veterinary College (AVC) at the University of Prince Edward Island (UPEI) is opening the door to more Canadian veterinary students by reclassifying its 19 international seats as unsubsidized, beginning with the 2025–2026 admissions cycle.
PEI Sports Hall of Fame honours sport leaders with deep UPEI connections
The UPEI Department of Athletics and Recreation is Panther proud of Barb Carmichael (field hockey), and the late Barb Mullaly (university sport, recreation, and education), who were inducted as builders into the PEI Sports Hall of Fame at Credit Union Place in Summerside on May 24.
Carmichael and Mullaly both played integral roles in the development of sport at UPEI.
Institute of Island Studies 40-Year Celebration
Founded in 1985, the Institute of Island Studies (IIS) is celebrating 40 years as a research and public policy institute based at the University of Prince Edward Island. IIS focuses on the culture, environment, and economy of small islands around the world, with an emphasis on Prince Edward Island. Celebrate this milestone birthday on June 14 at UPEI from 4–8 pm.
The event is free and open to all.
National Indigenous History Month begins
Every year in June, we recognize the history, achievement, resilience, and diversity of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Peoples across Canada.
The Robertson Library has various resources to explore, and has a special display in its lobby Explore Our highlighting Indigenous voices across Turtle Island.

UPEI Summer Studios Chamber Music Workshop July 7-11
Join the UPEI Department of Music for a five-day summer chamber music experience for brass, woodwind, percussion, and voice students aged 14–18. The daily schedule runs from 9:00 am–3:00 pm, July 7 to July 11, 2025 on the UPEI campus.
