Faculty of Education Online Presentation of Graduates

The Online Presentation of Graduates for the Classes of 2020 and 2021 will allow all graduates to celebrate Convocation from the comfort of their own homes with their loved ones on PEI, across the country, and around the world. The Chancellor of the University, the Hon. Catherine Callbeck, will provide remarks; the Dean of each respective faculty will present the graduates virtually; and graduates will see their photos appear on screen as faculty members announce their names. A Valedictorian from each Faculty will also address their fellow graduates during this presentation.

Chronic condition self-management program available for UPEI staff and faculty

The Health-Centred Research Clinic at UPEI is offering a chronic disease self-management program for any UPEI staff or faculty member who has been diagnosed with a chronic condition for at least one year or longer.

The program will consist of weekly group exercise and education sessions at the Health-Centred Research Clinic located in the lower level of the Steel Building. Participants must be permanent employees of the University of Prince Edward Island or a contract employee for the duration of the program.

UPEI announces winners of Co-op Awards

Every year, UPEI Co-operative Education recognizes its exceptional students and employers with the UPEI Co-op Awards. Students are nominated by their work-term employers, and employers are nominated by the students they have employed for a work term within the past calendar year. Tyler Gallant is the 2020 UPEI Business Co-op Student of the Year. Desiree Rehel is the 2020 UPEI Science Co-op Student of the Year. The Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA) is the 2020 Co-op Employer of the Year.
