World Home Economics Day
The PEI Home Economics Association invites members and friends to celebrate World Home Economics Day on Monday, March 21, 7:00 pm, in the dining room at Dalton Hall. Kaylynne Parkes and Christina Tucker, Foods and Nutrition students in the Department of Family and Nutritional Sciences, will be discussing their work with Farmers Helping Farmers in Kenya in a presentation called “Building Food Security Among Kenyan Women and Children”. All are welcome.
UPEI CARES: March 24 Day of Support for Japan
In support of the Japanese people who have been so severely affected by the recent earthquake in their country, the campus community has designated Thursday, March 24 as UPEI’s day to show solidarity and provide assistance.
2011 Distinguished Alumni Awards
The UPEI Alumni Association will present its 2011 Distinguished Alumni Awards on Sunday, March 27 to the Honourable Marion Reid, Paul Jelley (posthumously), and Carrie-Ann Matheson, recipient of the inaugural ‘Inspiring Young Alumna Award.’
