he UPEI Women’s Basketball team is pleased to announce their fundraising initiative to raise money for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation - and other related cancer charities - is up and running for a fourth straight season. The main celebration night will take place on Saturday February 5, 2011 during the game vs. Memorial.
The UPEI Panthers will be selling t-shirts again this year, a black t-shirt with a pink UPEI Panthers logo selling for $12 and available at the UPEI Bookstore or by emailing head coach Carly Clarke at wbball@upei.ca. New this year, UPEI Panthers has teamed up with OT HairCutters. Show your colours and support by getting a fashion pink hair flare at OT HairCutters, all profits go toward UPEI Panthers` Shoot for the Cure. OT HairCutters stylists will be on-campus at the:W.A Murphy Student Union Center, Wednesday, Feb. 2nd 2 pm – 6 pm, and at the Chi Wan Young Sports Centre, Saturday, Feb 5th 4 pm – 9 pm.
Last Bball Home Games 1 pm and 3 pm
Sunday is the last home basketball games of the season with the women playing at 1 pm vs. MUN and the men at 3 pm. The graduating students will be honoured at the event.
