Please join us to celebrate our graduate students achievements this Monday, April 4, starting at 10 am in KCI 104. The event includes a keynote presentation by Dr Sunny Hartwig, a session of graduate student presentations, and a nice array of presentations in poster format in the hall of KCI. A light lunch and refreshments will be provided.

In this, the International Year of Chemistry, please join the Chemistry Department to celebrate the contributions of the founding, former and current faculty to 42 years of chemistry at UPEI. The celebrations will be taking place this Friday, April 1 from 3:00-4:30 pm in the KC Irving Chemistry Centre foyer. Everyone is welcome!

The Institute of Island Studies presents a guest lecture by Alison McCleery, professor of Social and Cultural Geography, Edinburgh Napier University, Scotland: "The Politics of Peripherality: the Absolute Limit?" This lecture explores aspects of developmental theory and practice on the Atlantic periphery in the era of globalisation and new and not-so-new information and communication technologies.
