Jazz Ensemble Concert
The UPEI Jazz Ensemble, under the direction of David Shephard, will present its end of semester concert on Tuesday, November 19 at 7:30 pm in the Dr. Steel Recital Hall, UPEI.
The program will feature arrangements of “St Louis Blues,” “Little Sunflower,” and “Mambo Hot.” Featured soloists will include: Robyn Verhoeven (trumpet), Kailey Norris (tenor saxophone), and Evan Hammell and Dan MacDonald on trombone. Nik Dragatakis, a fourth-year jazz guitar student will be the soloist on Pat Metheny’s jazz ballad “Always and Forever.”
The Jazz Ensemble is excited to once again be joined on stage by voice students from the UPEI Music Department. Melissa MacKenzie will be featured on “At Last” made famous by Etta James. Rebecca Apps will perform “Skyfall” from the James Bond movie, and Nadine Haddad will join the band on the R&B classic “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough.”

UPEI Wind Symphony in Concert
The UPEI Wind Symphony will perform one of its most ambitious Fall Symphonic Recitals on Thursday, November 21 at 7:30 pm at St. Dunstan's Basilica. Featuring several masterworks for Wind Band, including David Gillingham's Concerto for Marimba, the venue of St. Dunstan's will provide architectural and aesthetic beauty complementing the Wind Symphony's performance for all to enjoy.
Tickets ($10 adults and seniors/$5 students) will be available at the door.
Men's and Women's Basketball versus DAL
Come out and cheer on your UPEI Panthers as they take on the Dalhousie Tigers in basketball for their final home games before the holiday break on Friday, November 22.
Women's game: 6:00 pm
Men's game: 8:00 pm
Panther fans will be treated to a Salsa dance halftime showcase during the men's basketball game, in addition to prizes and giveaways!

Fans are asked to bring a teddy bear for a teddy bear toss, with all bears being donated to the QEH children's ward. Donations to the UPEI Campus Food Bank will also be collected. In addition, fans will be treated to giveaways, promotions, and entertainment!

UPEI Concert Choir Recital
On Saturday, November 23rd the UPEI Concert Choir, under the direction of Sung Ha Shin-Bouey, will present an eclectic evening of choral music.
The Concert Choir will perform Eric Whitacre’s “Lux Aurumque”, Biebl’s “Ave Maria” and selections from J.S. Bach’s “Christmas Oratorio”. In addition to motets and madrigals, the audience will be treated to spirituals, folk songs, jazz, and Christmas songs. Special guests for the evening will be Le Ragazze Girls Vocal Ensemble.
The concert takes place at the Dr. Steel Recital Hall, UPEI at 7:30pm.

Join Dr. Frank Nilsen for a seminar entitled "Activities of the Sea Lice Research Centre in Norway" on Thursday, November 21 in AVC 286A at 2:00 pm. Dr. Nilsen is a Professor at the University of Bergen and Director of the Sea Lice Research Centre in Norway.
Human Biology & Environmental Sciences Seminar
Join Dr. Andy Trivett from the Department of Engineering, UPEI for a seminar entitled “Development of a handheld DNA detection device for identification of plant pathogens in the field” on Friday, November 22. The seminar will take place in the Duffy Science Centre, room 204 from 12:30-1:30.
