Get Swabbed! 2013

The One Match 'Get Swabbed!' event is an initiative of Canadian Blood Services to increase Stem Cell donors into the OneMatch Stem Cell and Marrow Network. This event is part of a nationwide university challenge. 'Get Swabbed!' is an annual coast-to-coast university challenge designed to engage and recruit young and diverse potential stem cell donors. This year marks the fifth annual event where university students across the country will be bracing their cheeks to determine this year's national champion. In just 5 to 10 minutes, you could change a life forever. Currently more than 900 patients are looking for a match in Canada. In addition, there is currently special need for 17 to 35 year old males who are ethnically diverse and in good general health to join the registry. Join UPEI in its second year competing in this national event! Together we can make a difference! October 22, 2013 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, WA Murphy Student Centre - McMillan Hall.
